Rogan is ex- military and now works as a reporter. He was once accused of a crime he did not commit and was responsible for ending his military career. Since then he has been on the trail of a serial killer determined to prove his own innocence. It does not help his case that his instincts lead him to where the killings are taking place. His instincts this time have led him to Sedona, Arizona and to a woman, Cora O’Donnell.
Angel Eyes by Jaycee Clark is a chilling tale of suspense and fear. It is a passionately steamy, romance where a couple is brought together in their search to stop a killer. The characters are colorful and many have you wondering if they could be the killer. It is a true mystery where no one is without suspicion and just when you are sure you have it all figured out, think again. The main character is haunted by dreams of rape and murder. The frightening details of the killings would scare anyone but when they seem to say that she is the next victim the fear escalates. The passionate romance Cora has with Rogan serves as a break from the suspense that continues to build. Creatively choreographed the sex is described in explicitly graphic details making it all easily visualized. Steamy is mild in describing the interactions between the two. The chemistry between the two is definitely electrifying. Angel Eyes is one of the most thrilling suspense filled romances I have read. Sure to be a hit, I recommend this chilling tale to those readers that enjoy mystery and suspense.
