Jay Reid is finally getting everything he always wanted. The man he has loved from afar has finally become his lover and Jay is more in love than ever. Dean is still struggling with what it means that he loves Jay when he has never even been attracted to a man before him. Things are going well but Dean must face the issues that he has left unresolved and one of those things is Jay’s sister April.

Jay and Dean have a real relationship. They love each other but everything is not fairytale perfect. There are problems in every relationship and watching each man grapple with their issues was an exciting ride. Both men were easy to like, although Jay was the more personable of the two. I couldn’t wait to read the next word and follow their adventure to the end. Dean was especially interesting to me as a man who had no previous leanings towards men but found himself in love with Jay. The issues he faces involve not only society and its attitude towards him now that he’s in a gay relationship, but also his own preconceived notions of how to behave in the bedroom. After all it’s a two way street and if he truly loves Jay he should be able to give himself up to Jay completely, heart and body. Angel Heart is the second story following Jay and Dean's love story, Snow Angel is the first. Angel Heart can be read as a stand alone but much more can be gained by reading them in order.
