Beltaine is half-human and half-demon... and all woman. She has no use for demons and little use for humans especially if they are male, with one exception, her friend, Father Roger. She is employed by The Board, a group of powerful businesspeople and high ranking church officials, to try and keep the peace between the demons and mortals on Earth.

Kalan is a member of the Heavenly Host, and an angel. He's been sent to Earth for the first time ever to assist Beltaine in finding out who is planning to take over Hell and stop them from doing just that, but first there is a Book that must be retrieved from Earth and returned to the Devil. Part of the problem is, Beltane and Kalan don't really know who the bad guys really are!

Tiffany Aaron introduces us to a bevy of characters some good, some bad. My favorites were, naturally, Beltaine and Kalan I love a kick-ass woman who can take care of herself and Beltaine is just that woman! Kalan is a bewildered angel at first, but he quickly realizes that Beltaine isn't the bad person he was told she was. These two very different people must find a way to work together to save Earth, while both are battling the explosive feelings they have for one another. This exciting book comes very highly recommended. Do yourself the biggest favor ever read this!!!
