| Archangel Raphael has a big problem that will require all the experience and talents of the best vampire hunter around.
Elena Deveraux has just completed her latest assignment and is not happy when she finds out who has hired her for her next one. Elena and Raphael have previously clashed leaving Elena extremely wary of the power of angels. Unfortunately for her, a member of the Cadre of Ten has gone off on a killing spree and the angels need Elena to track him. Raphael is reluctant to give her the information she needs to do her job because should this get out it would cause a worldwide panic. It doesn't take long for Elena to realize that she most likely will not come out of this alive. Nalini Singh has crafted an awesome world where angels rule and create vampires to serve them. These angels are by no means angelic. Just like any ruling body you have your mixture of honorable and not so honorable. There are those who are not satisfied with what they have and those who try to do right. Their powers are such that only another archangel can kill an archangel. Elena and Raphael are a perfect match for each other. He is so otherworldly powerful that you wonder how a human woman could possibly measure up to him. She measures up so well that their chemistry literally oozes off the pages and seeps into your skin. The personal battle between them is so masterfully woven that it's almost a shock to find out they have another fight on their hands. Revelations are sparingly made leading to an outcome that will have your jaw hitting the floor. Angel's Blood knocked my socks off and I for one can't wait to see what comes next.
