Haruto has good reason not to trust anyone. He’s a product of a sick mind that will stop at nothing to create the perfect killing machine. He’s on the run, never had any kindness shown to him until Brioni. She’s compassionate, beautiful, and wants him and for Haruto that means the world.

Animal, the fourth book in Nathalie’s Lycan Warrior series, is a dramatic rollercoaster ride filled with tension and emotional intensity. The pace never lets up leaving the reader breathless and on the edge of your seat. It’s an edgy thriller with superb characterization. The hero and heroine gel on many levels. Her compassion for Haruto has no boundaries and she’ll do anything to gain his trust and keep him safe. This in itself is interesting since Haruto is more than capable of protecting himself. But her friendship means so much to him and his tenderness with her is endearing and sweet.

I love this series. Animal, however, is my favorite so far. Nathalie has a talent creating memorable characters that reside in your mind long after the story has finished. I’m in awe of Nathalie’s ability to write action scenes that are so smooth and sleek it felt more like watching a movie that reading. It was easy to visualize and often exhausting.

This one, like the other books is this series, is a page-turner that left me incredibly satisfied. While each book stands alone to read all of them will provide the reader with a broader picture of a world gone mad. I recommend this book, this series whole-heartedly and comes with a health warning. Remember to breath.
