| Rosalee Simmons was bullied throughout her high school years and could not wait to get out of Cooper Creek, California. As a new business owner, Lee settled back in the town she had hated. Hopefully it wouldn’t be too hard to ignore Lindsay Sinclair—her tormentor. The fact that she was the twin of the one man Lee had always cared for made it even harder to deal with.
Kade Sinclair was a high school counselor. His sister and her new husband Ricardo had eloped and they were planning a show-stopper reception for their mother’s visit. Kade went into the new catering company, Lee’s Treats, to make arrangements for the party. He was surprised when he encountered the one woman who had made such an impact on his life. This inspirational romance, written by Ashley Elizabeth Ludwig, was a beautiful story about facing past hurts and problems and learning to deal with them with God’s help. Ludwig is a great writer. She manages to get her points across with sensitivity and skill. This fast-paced book was an emotionally charged look at forgiveness and forgetting. The book is perfect for a quick pick-me-up in the afternoon. It was easy to lose myself in the actions of these characters. I could definitely relate to this book. This Ludwig book is another winner. I recommend it to everyone.
