| Alec Edwards is stuck in traffic thinking it might be a good thing that he is since the party he is supposed to attend is just an excuse for his boss to set him up with his daughter. The one time Alec actually went out with Andrea they did not get along. As he is thinking about things he looks over and watches a car come flying over the medium and slam into the car behind him. He rushes out to help since he is a physician. The first car, its driver a drunk who had caused the accident, is already gone, but when he gets to the other car he finds the driver still alive. The thing that freaks him out is that the woman seems to recognize him even though he knows they have never met. He doesn’t totally understand why but he feels that he must watch over her and take care of her so that he doesn’t let her down again.
The longer they are together the more dreams they both start having. Things start to make sense when Alec has Dani see a psychiatrist. Under hypnosis Dani realizes that she has lived four other times and that each time she has found Alec in his form. They have loved and lost each time. The doctor is excited and is startled to find out that in each life they have had an enemy who has hated them so much that he or she caused their deaths in each lifetime. Now that Dani and Alec know the truth can they stop the cycle and find happiness this time? This is a wonderful book about reincarnation, about lovers who are destined to live again and again until they can get it right and get together. It takes that feeling that we get when we meet someone the first time, but feel like we have known them forever and gives us a reason why that is possible - a remembrance of a relationship we've had before. I very much recommend this book as it has everything you could want - love, sex, suspense. The characters are very well developed. Not only will you love the hero and heroine but the secondary characters are wonderful too. The love that develops between Dani’s best friend and Alec’s best friend is another awesome love at first glance. The villains are vivid and have reasons for the things that they do, and you feel for them.
