| Gabby and Justin used to be best friends and roommates. Until one night six months ago when, with the help of some tequila, they kissed and things changed. While the kiss scared Gabby into moving out of the house they shared, it made Justin realize that Gabby is more to him than just a good friend. Now he's out to prove to her that he is the Mr. Right she has been searching for.
Opening the story with Gabby trying to hide from Justin in the cereal aisle of a grocery store highlights the impulsive nature of her quirky personality. Her actions and dialogue throughout the rest of the story fit her character perfectly and show off her quirkiness, which is part of what draws Justin to her. For his part, his determination to make her talk to him and face her feelings also comes out during that opening scene in the grocery store. And, like with Gabby, his behavior throughout the rest of the story falls right in line with his character as established in that scene. Gabby and Justin are exactly what each other need and watching them realize that as the story progresses is great. The undeniable heat of their sex scenes emphasizes their compatibility and goes a long way in showing them they belong together. And even though there are some bumps in their path to happiness, the ending is ultimately satisfying.
