Sasha’s life was uncontrollable. Just when she thought nothing good would ever happen, into the truck stop diner where she worked walked Matthew. With his blond curls and incredible blue eyes, she could not imagine anyone ever being interested in her. He was.

Matthew’s life was more than a little boring. His son, William, was 17 and lived away from home to attend school. His ex-wife had been gone since William was 2. Now, he realized he was really lonely. His solitary road trip led him to Jasper’s Creek even though he had no idea where he was headed. To be waited on by such a beautiful young lady as ‘Shasha’ took his breath away.

Once again Samantha Lucas has proven her ability to survive and excel with the top authors in print (or e-book) today. This sequel to Anything After Sunday told the story of Matthew and Sasha. The plot was totally unique. I’m amazed that she is able to continue offering us her unique plots with to-die-for characters in distinctive settings. This, again, is what has placed her on so many automatic-read lists.

This book can certainly be read as a stand-alone, but the characters of Nick, West and Frannie, are familiar with those of us who read the first story. All that’s left is Nick’s story. Ms. Lucas has taken her complicated, wonderfully loving story and given us the best possible scenarios with sensual scenes which will keep readers glued to the text.

I highly recommend this book from one of our best authors.
