| Kristian has been alone an awfully long time, ever since he let Jake go after a spectacular summer romance. He told himself that it was for the best, that if Jake really loved him he would try to contact him, but it didn't happen. Until one day Kristian bumps into Jake at the local grocery store. Can there be a second chance at first love?
Scarlett Blackwell has captured the essence of true love. Two people who are meant only for each other, and who manage to be apart are a painful pair indeed, and Kristian is at the mercy of his pain and loss. He can't accept his own part in the breakup and has to get over his worries about others' reactions to his sexuality if he wants to find any kind of peace or happiness. But I hurt for him and read straight through hoping he would be able get past the ego and embarrassment to make the right decisions when he had the chance to undo the biggest mistake of his life. I thorougly enjoyed the story and was on the edge of my seat wondering what would happen. It's so hard sometimes to communicate what we really want to say, and I so hoped Kristian would be able to open his heart and let Jake know how he really felt. This is the most touching romance, and I recommend it to anyone who loves to be in love (or read about it).
