When Aimee Rose, owner of Aphrodite's flower shop, discovers there are no roses available for her floral arrangements, she’s more than just disappointed. Her creative juices flow best when that particular flower is part of her creations and without them things aren’t the same, but a blight has erased the crop in all the southeastern states and there’s not a rose to be had. How will she ever finish all the orders for the June weddings, anniversaries, and the Rose Day celebration in her hometown? The answer to her dilemma strides into the shop on stiletto heels and dressed in a form-fitting white outfit covered with hearts and introduces herself as Venus... and she knows where Aimee can get roses, and lots of them. Bearing the business card Venus gives her, Aimee pays a visit to a handsome doctor, who refuses to part with his beautiful bounty of flowers, but what he does offer is more than she expected. The attraction is startling, and the familiarity between the two of the! m, scary. Is Venus really who she claims to be, and what does she have in store for Ken and Aimee Rose? I’d love to tell you but you’ll have to read for yourself. Aphrodite's Garden by Deborah Grace-Staley is a delightful fantasy read that steals your heart and restores your faith in love at first sight. I found myself giggling at the colorful description of Venus' outfits, and the manner in which the author captures the love goddesses care-free attitude. I'm sure you'll enjoy Deborah Grace-Staley's light-hearted romance–I know I did!
