Karen Hudson finds her world in chaos when she embarks on a reckless chase searching for the truth about the man who has captured her heart. After Michael Browning professes his undying love for Karen, he vanishes. When authorities approach her asking questions, she is surprised by their accusations. How could he be a killer? In no time she finds herself in a desperate search to clear the name of the man she deeply loves as she sets out on a dangerous quest to unravel the mystery, making her the next target for murder.

Michael Borbeau’s, alias Michael Browning, intentions were not to mislead Karen, or fall in love for that matter. He had to protect his daughter in a new town with a new name. Now, the whole mess is threatening to surface, and he must flee to keep his daughter safe.

Will he ever see his beloved Karen again? Will she discover the truth before the killer strikes again?

A Promise to Keep is a thrilling romantic suspense that I found hard to put down. This story is intense and gripping. It was spellbinding just following Karen on her journey to locate Michael and the killer. I got a feeling that I was right along with her on the trip as she caught a glimpse of through her eyes. Ms. Gogolewski instills many twists and turns in the story. She not only made Karen a loving and caring woman, but also made her feisty and full of spunk, standing her ground. Jennifer, Michael’s daughter, is absolutely beautiful as one of the secondary characters.

Ms. Gogolewski depicts characters that have true heart. I liked the way she blended in the Tarahumara Indians into this story. The dialog throughout the story made it easy to follow Karen’s search. The whole book flowed easily. The plot was extremely well written. This is my first book by Ms. Gogolewski but I found it to be a fascinating novel that I truly enjoyed.
