Maggie Garrison is a widow with three children, two handsome twin teenage sons, and a spirited twenty-one year old daughter. Together with a cantankerous old father-in-law, and several other delightful characters, they live on and run a guest ranch in Colorado. Since the death of her husband, Maggie has made her children and the ranch her priority-with no time for personal involvements. After consistent nagging from her daughter to take some time for enjoyment, Maggie reluctantly attends an anniversary party; even relenting to wear a dress she finds much too revealing and youthful for her ancient forty-three years. Shawn Wallace, on the other hand, has avoided romance because he is sour on women. Fourteen years younger than Maggie, he's decided, when he marries, it will be strictly business with no emotional ties. Shawn meets Maggie at the party and finds himself strongly attracted to her, and although Maggie finds him terribly sexy, she refuses to become involved with a younger man. A Rhythm Devine by Judy Mays is a delightful story of how women underestimate their beauty beyond youth, and how romance lives on and hope springs eternal. A handsome, young Celt, long hair, masculine body and a butt to die for... Who wouldn't enjoy fantasizing about it? I certainly did, and I think Judy Mays did a wonderful job with an ending to leave a smile on your face. If you love Encore L'Amour, you'll love A Rhythm Devine.
