Grace and Megan were cousins. They were the only family tie either had left. Megan lived in New York City and Grace still lived in the home place in Beaufort, North Carolina. Grace’s life was boring—she had quit living when her mother died four years ago. The house was the same as when her mother lived and Megan had lived with them. Grace’s life was so boring; she didn’t even have the energy to realize how badly she was stuck in a rut. Even when her long-time boyfriend, Mitchell, literally left her standing at the altar in Vegas, she still reacted like she was supposed to let it happen to her.

When Megan and her fiancé were planning their wedding, Grace was to be the maid of honor. Since Grace refused to come visit until the wedding itself, Megan and Chase went to Beaufort for a week to visit. They took Chase’s brother, Ethan, with them hoping that they would become friends. Ethan had a great dislike for women and didn’t want anything to do with them anymore. He was a very rich man, a well-known artist, and was inundated with women pursuing him for his money and position.

Ms. Cara North has written a great book which, apparently, is part of a series. I plan to check out her other offerings since I enjoyed this book so much. This book was fabulously written and gives new meaning to happily ever after! The plot and ensuing storyline showed a sensuality that was of the highest quality. The underlying mysterious stalker, which began with Ethan, quickly included Grace and took the manuscript to another level.

This was one of the best books I have read. I loved North’s ability to tell her story without losing the poignancy or the threats of the stalking. So much was going on at the same time; it would have been easy to lose the reader. Let me assure you that did not happen. I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes a strong story with hot sexual activity.
