Shane finally had everything a gay man wanted out of life -- a loving husband and the perfect job working on an alien planet studying ancient ruins and artifacts. When an ex-lover of his husband Evren used a bracelet found in a temple on Shane, his life went spinning out of control when he was physically changed into a woman. Now Shane had to find a way to change back or live as a female for the rest of his/her life. Will Evren still love him as a woman or will he lose everything? Besides, being a woman just sucks.

I really enjoyed this story. A.E Lathem creates an interesting situation for a man to go through. How does a gay man deal with becoming a woman? Some of the situations are funny, like getting dressed for the first time in women's clothing. His fears of losing his mate because he is no longer the same person or dealing with out of control emotions as he tries to adjust to being female are some of the more interesting aspects of the storyline. Where I think Ms. Lathem could have improved a little on the story was in the world building. She doesn't explain too much about Evren's planet or people, but she throws things into the story like three sexes and males who give birth. Just a little explanation about some of the information she added, like the contract that Evren and Beyza had and why it was broken or why certain men were able to get pregnant would have left me scratching my head. She does leave an opening at the end of the book to be able to continue into another story about this couple, maybe then she can explain a little more about this interesting world she has given life.
