| Violet Georges dreams are very vivid, combined with the things that are happening in the mansion. She doesn't believe in ghosts, vampires or fairytales at least not until she became a housekeeper for an Aristocratic Lord named Grant Calder, though she thinks Grant is playing cruel tricks on her just like her ex-boyfriend did before his death. In the end, his ghostly appearances show Violet on the Eve of Halloween what a true gentleman wants from his lady.
Aurora Rose Lynn delivers a rather hearty novella; suspense is felt all during the story. She manages to place all the main ingredients necessary in delivering a nice piece of work. Letting our imagination get the better of us, pulling us forward in wanting to know how it ends. Violet starts out as being rather young, shy yet resilient, as she advances in the story, she gets bolder and more daring until a rather suspenseful and entertaining event happens. The twist of I'm leaving, no, I can't, maybe I should leave, toys with the reader. When Violet puts her hand on the doorknob and pushes her way into the Aristocratic Lord's room, as a reader you get the full impact of what happens next. It's a pleasurable piece of work.
