There are many exciting and surprising plot twists in store for the reader. The exciting suspense story is woven seamlessly through with all that delicious sex. It is a sensually explicit, beautifully written story of lust and love expressed through tender, yet, intensely passionate sexual interludes. Gabe and Ashlynn’s characters are well developed and continue to grow throughout the story. I felt I knew them as old friends instead of only as someone’s daughter or someone’s best friend. When Gabe, as local sheriff, accompanies Treasury Agent Ashlynn Doucette on a routine investigation, they accidentally uncover something they weren’t prepared for by any stretch of the imagination. The action that follows is thrilling and consequences are frightening when lives are left hanging in the balance. Gabriel and Ashlynn’s story is everything we’ve come to expect from Ms. Massa’s books. There are hints that something special may be possible for Gabe’s niece and Ashlynn’s best friend, Angel Baptiste, if fate doesn’t snatch it away before it begins. You’ll love this book despite the cliff-hanger ending.
