Marcus Ashford, the Earl of Westfield, is an agent to the Crown and used to dangerous situations. One thing he is not anticipating is being cut off suddenly by his fiancé Elizabeth. Elizabeth ends her engagement to Marcus after finding him in his room with another woman and assuming he is cheating. Now years have passed and Marcus has the opportunity to reclaim his lost lover. Marrying Lord Hawthorne was her solution to making sure her heart was safe, but now her husband is dead and Marcus is back. Determined to have his revenge, Marcus takes the case for the Crown involving a mysteriously coded journal the former Lord Hawthorne kept and dangerous enemies who won't stop to get their hands on it. To ensure Elizabeth's safety, Marcus must protect her body and soul. In doing this both must learn to trust one another again and learn to follow their hearts desires.

Ask For It is an intense, breathtaking, story filled with two head strong characters. Elizabeth can at times prove to be a bit testy to the reader, but it is what draws you into the whole story. Marcus is willing to do anything for this woman and proves that time and again. I liked the way in which Marcus resolves to only get certain things from Elizabeth and that that is all he's after. That in itself adds a certain sense of mystery to the plot. Will he succeed or be surprised in the end? Wanting to see how Marcus and Elizabeth's relationship progresses will keep one glued to the pages. The settings are very sensually described and the erotic scenes full of hot, passionate details. This is one read that will heat you up quick! Ms. Day opens up the world of 1770 with elaborate details that make the reader feel like they are really there. I would recommend this book to those who like very erotic, heart pounding stories.
