The men of Bravo Company were an elite group, often called the best of the best. These men were as close as brothers and they would lay down their lives for one another.

Nic D'Onofrio was one of these men. After returning home from the sad duty of bringing the body of his fellow brother back home, Nic decided to take some time off and sort his life out. Little did he realize that though one door had closed on his old life a new one was about to open. It was late and what Nic desperately needed was sleep. As he made his way back to his hotel, the snow was still coming down. The car in front of him was going at a turtle's pace and finally came to a stop on the side of the road. Nic drove by but not before he noticed it was a young woman at the wheel. Fighting the urge to go on and assume someone would help her, the gentleman in him he headed back to the sight.

There still in the car was the young woman staring out at the deserted road. Nic offered to take her to a police station but she refused. Knowing he couldn't leave her there he offered to take her to his hotel room until she could find help. It was then that he noticed that she was dressed only in a night gown and one slipper, not to mention she had no idea who she was or where she was.

Julie Gallway had come home for the Christmas holiday to be with her parents and sister. She was awakened by a noise and found a man clad in black standing in front of the door to her parents door. Her parents were dead and the man in black was about to seal Julie's fate. With all the strength she had she kicked the gun from his hand and ran out of the house. All she knew was that her parents and sister were dead and she had to get away as far as she could. In the process she blocked the entire incident from her mind.

When Nic found her she was in such a state his only thought was to get help from his brothers in Bravo. A phone call to Eric Cruz gave him many answers as to who this lovely young woman was but not to why she couldn't remember even her name. It was Nic's act of kindness on that snowy night that made him the protector of Julie and to keep her safe from the man in black that was still possibily looking for her.

I was totally taken by this story from the first page and couldn't put it down. Each avenue they searched for clues ended up cold and yet they still had to stay undercover from the man in black. Romance, drama, mystery and suspense are all in this book that would make a great movie in the future.
