The characters of our hero and heroine are well developed and so is their instantaneous sexual attraction. Lou's seduction of Barbara was lady-killer smooth with humor and genuine feeling, as well as his intense desire. The plot was also interesting with enough mystery that at one point Barbara felt she'd been a fool to trust Lou since now he was her top suspect. The scene at the erotic movie premiere was hilarious with Barbara sitting in Lou's lap because the projection booth is so small while watching a porn flick and trying to spot suspects. Needless to say they got a bit carried away. What started out funny quickly turned steamy in more ways than the temperature of the little booth. By the time they got back to her apartment and finally got to some uninterrupted one on one time, I could almost feel the intensity of their frustrated desire. It was a slammed against the living room wall because they couldn't walk all the way to the bedroom kind of intensity. Ms. Kelly knows how to write hot! My interest in this story was snared on the first paragraph and I was drawn further in with every page. These two undercover police officers working together to solve an adult video bootleg ring can't fight the sexually supercharged atmosphere. They perform well together undercover and under the covers. They can't help falling in love and you won't be able to either.
