A Touch of Fae is about a young woman who is trying to break out of the mold her family established for her. Em Charvez is a sweet, docile, and naive or that's what her family sees her as. What Em doesn't let her family know is that there is a feisty, independent woman just waiting for the opportunity to break out of her shell. Em Charvez is witch as are most of her family members. Whereas her mother and sister have great powers, Em’s power is being an empath. Em is very talented in the research of ancient books. She happens upon a book but she can't decipher some of the symbols. What she doesn't realize is that the book contains symbols from the Fae. When she happens upon this book the Fae are alerted. The Fae want the book back to keep it safe from the mortal and supernatural world. What Em doesn't count on is the man that is sent to retrieve the book. Conchobar is one of the Queen of Fae’s favored and most trusted Fae. Conchobar is sent to watch Em, and learn if she has used the book or what she intends on doing with the it. Both Em and Conchobar are in for a big surprise when they both realize they have both been waiting for each other all of there lives. But will they be able to stay together?

Lauren Dane gives a great tale of the Fae world and what happens when a Fae falls in love with a mortal woman. The struggles and triumphs throughout this book will keep you reading page after page. This a story of love and the battle of good versus evil. There is just the right amount of dialogue in this book so that a reader knows who is talking and what they are feeling. A book is always good when you can feel the emotions of the characters and Lauren Dane has accomplished in this book. Warning contains graphic scenes and one short m/m scene.
