Max has just been through two years of hell with his ex-wife a drama queen and he is about to conduct an orchestra where most of the players hate his guts. However there is one who is ahead of the crowd and doesn't seem so hostile toward him. For some reason he likes the bassoon player in the back who seems to take an interest in him. Since he won't be in town long he is at odds about what he should do. Pretty soon his emotions are involved and he has no idea what to do.

Bianca likes the new conductor that everyone else seems to hate. She doesn't know why she is drawn to him but she is and once they actually start talking they realize they have quite a bit in common. She learns of his past and he learns of hers and together they create a bond that confuses them both. They both have children and some obstacles to move past, but maybe they can make a life together? With their past and music, can they move past everything to make a life together or will they find things getting in the way?

True Nature is the story of two people with a similar past who meet each other and find that life doesn't end after divorce and children. These two characters are not your typical twenty-something types, they are mature adults who have been through the ringer and are stronger because of it. This story is a definite change from what I normally read and is really quite a good book. Some readers who are more into erotic romances may want to give this one a pass since it is more about the emotional drama the characters go through.
