| Dr. Shamir Vassir, on a planet far way, has manage to unlock DNA codes to enable people to live healthier, longer, better. She hopes her discovery will lead to peace between the Enosians and Kailosians. To live on earth it seems the beings have to inhabit host bodies. For some reason Marty Cortez is host to Nik Dakan the one Enosian Kailosian mix everyone wants because he knows where to find a key to ultimate power.
Nikkolas Cruz has given us an excellent sci-fi thriller. Once you get your mind wrapped around these complex characters and their roles you won't want to let go. Marty Cortez seems to like having the power to zap daggers out of his wrists. Because he's not a warrior he's even more happy to have a body that heals from any damage he or the bad guys can inflict. He and Nik seem to learn to work together pretty well as the story progresses. The other genetically enhanced aliens have had to wait for their host body to die or give up before they could start doing their thing. Most of them want to track down Marty/Nik to kill, capture or have their way with in the bedroom or wherever else it suits them. They can get rather tricky in their pursuit but luckily either Nik or Marty usually has enough sense to get them out of trouble in the nick of time. Nikkolas Cruz has done a great job in this first novel of a series. The bad guys are bad and ugly. The descriptions are creepy! The good guys and gal tend to get there to help just at that moment when you think all is lost. This was a great read and I look forward to the next installment.
