Kaylith is a powerful physic that was bred by her mother to be a super race, and next in line to her throne. Genetically enhanced with three fathers instead of one. She is Terran, Elvan, and Sentari. She has the inborn ability to protect herself, and unprecedented mind powers. Her mother, Queen Meeral, wants her to be queen of Sentari. Unfortunately, Sentari is a brutal world, with little outside influence. As young as five years old, Kaylith knew that she wanted none of it. When she defied the queen one to many times, at five years old she is put in a cave with all her brothers and sisters, and it is there that she dreams of Jack.

Jack is a Terran that is just six years old when he starts dreaming of Kaylith. His grandfather puts him to bed with a story of the "Legend" a woman that single handedly unified worlds. When he goes to sleep that night, he starts dreaming of a little girl his age, with the same problems that the Legend had. When he finally understands whom he is talking too, he finds he can't tell her about it without enormous pain in his head. He decides to leave it, and throughout the years visits Kaylith on a regular basis in his dreams.

Are they dreams? Kaylith and Jack grow up, and fall in love with each other, even though both of them think that they are each other's dream. Jack goes on to be a scientist, and starts the search for the Legend's remains, who died 150 years before his time. Kaylith goes on to become an exile and a pirate, who finally ends up getting killed by the Sentari's… or so everyone thinks. Come to find out, they aren't just dreams. They are soul mates that have reached across time to be with each other. Kaylith's ship is sabotaged, and her stasis tube is the only one that survives intact. Jack, who has been desperately searching for her since he first met her in his dreams, awakens her. Things aren't always what they seem, because the Kaylith the Legend has come back, and she has a different story than what has been told for over 150 years. Things are going to start getting ugly…

This is an outstanding book. The author goes back and forth between the past and the future that Jack lives in, as well as when Kaylith wakes up 151 years later. Although it sounds confusing, the author manages to seamlessly meld this into a great story. There is a lot to this book, I couldn't begin to describe the many interesting characters without writing a book myself. I couldn't put it down for long; it kept my attention the whole time. It is the first in a series, and I anxiously wait for the next installment. Amazing story, don't miss it!
