Alex made one promise that he intends to keep, and that's to take care of his mother. Of course she calls him at every little crisis and expects him to solve all of her problems, so Alex has a real struggle on his hands when she messes up her hair and needs him to bring her hairdresser to fix it. He likes Gayle's spunky attitude and the fact that she openly flirts with him. He has to get to know her better and find out just what makes her tick.

Gayle works as a beautician and when she's called by her client's son to come out and redo his mother's hair, she figures why not. She could use the extra cash and Alex is totally intriguing. Then she realizes that he's rich and way out of her league, but that doesn't stop her from accepting one date. What could it harm and of course it won't go any further, but she didn't expect Alex's determination.

Let me tell you Gayle is not your typical heroine, in that she has certain aspects of her life that can't be moved. I don't want to tell more because it would ruin it to reveal it now. Alex is rich, but not your typical rich guy, he's more down to earth then most. Together this couple makes a great team and add spice to the plot. Of course there is the usual the interference of friends and family. Alex's over controlling mother can be a real kick in the pants sometimes and you really want to scream stand up to your mother. In the end the tale is of two different people from two different worlds who move heaven and earth to be together.
