| Dr. Saylor Oz is a sex therapist with a penchant for trouble. She never goes looking for it. She's too busy with her clients, helping friends sell their sex toys, and falling in lust frequently. The situations she and her best friend Benita ‘Binnie' Morales get themselves into would scare off most people. What she lacks in height she more than makes up for in her determination to prove Angel, Binnie's brother, innocent. Even the best amateur detectives have to relax sometimes. With the love life of a female James Bond and the courage to match, Saylor takes on some really shady characters.
Allyson Roy makes this second saga of the series starring Saylor and Benita even better than the first. Friends and sometimes lovers help fill the pages with some great dialogue and scenarios. Petey the myna bird has some starring scenes as the feathered friend seems to learn some new language watching porn movies. Aunt Lana is Saylor's seventyish, aging hippie relative who's a marijuana smoking nudist with definite nurturing tendencies. John Lavender, a PI who helped put Angel in jail, doesn't want to help, but Saylor has a way with the men in her life that can't be ignored for too long. Priceless dialogue and scenarios that play out in the written word as if we're watching a movie help make this one of those books that seem to fly by. This story is full of suspense and mystery with comedic overtones that make it a lot of fun. The personalities of Saylor and Benita are priceless mixes of girly girls who are totally feminine with that down to earth nature that endears us to them. Ms. Roy has penned another winner.
