| Candace has lived with Ian Richards since she was fifteen and he took
her in to keep her out of foster care when her parents died. She was
nine years younger than he was. Ian was married at the time, but soon
after his wife divorced him. Candace helped him survive that time
period. She was, in fact, the perfect roommate. He always looked
great because she chose his clothes. He ate well because she planned
the meals. His life ran smoothly because she kept things organized
and on schedule. She'd even helped his business by building her own so
successfully. But he worried about her. She had a heart condition
and didn't always remember her medication. She drank and partied too
much.
But now things have changed. Candace comes home drunk after a concert and has her way with him. Now his whole world is topsy-turvy. Can he ever return to his safe rut after what happened between them? Stuck is an extremely erotic love story about an older man's quest to grow up enough to let go of his past guilt and learn to be happy so he could be mature enough to be a good partner for his much younger lover. I liked how he had to learn that acting older didn't make one mature, and that being a little wild didn't mean one wasn't mature. Not taking any chances doesn't automatically make one safe and happy. Sometimes it takes lots and lots of really great sex in several new positions, a blizzard, car trouble and your ex-wife's pregnant lesbian partner to make you realize that growing is more important than growing up. You'll need a fan when you read about how Ian learned that growing together can be a really erotic experience. He was one lucky man. He could have it all if he could accept it.
