| Amy Winters was living a rough life. To make matters worse, her boss called her into his office and explained that she was being laid off because he had to have open heart surgery. Amy’s ex-husband and his pregnant new wife had bought the attorney’s business. When Amy paid her bills, she had $10 left between her and poverty. She went to the local grocery store, bought $9 worth of ramen and macaroni and cheese, and spent her last dollar on a lottery ticket.
Blake Warner was in the process of taking over presidency of the local bank from his retiring father. He saw her the day she cashed her last check but she refused to go out with him. The next day, while driving his father to work, they noticed the press blocking the street around the grocery store where the winning lottery ticket was purchased. The winner was.... Ms. Nancy Lindquist has taken a plot subject which has, certainly, been used previously. However, the storyline is fresh and entertaining. Her main characters are great. They both had wanted to be noticed by the other while they were in high school. Now, years later, their paths re-crossed. The scenario sequences were steamy hot and made me need to fan! The sex was hot with frank language, so it is definitely not for the faint of heart. I enjoyed this fast-paced story and recommend it to those with the fortitude to read it. It will surprise you how it ends.
