| Sheriff Scott Dupree is alpha of a small wolf pack. His mother is casting spells on the full moon trying to find him a mate and he is having trouble keeping his and the pack's urges in check. Ted is a PI and an ex-cop. He has been having weird erotic dreams on the full moon. When Ted comes to town on a case, he stunned by the attraction he feels for Scott, but he refuses to fall for a straight man. Scott tries to fight his attraction to Ted, but the pull of the mating be more than Scott or his pack can handle.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. While the plot is not necessarily original, the author takes it and makes it her own. The author gives us a charming love story that is engaging and entertaining. The characters are well written and even though the story is fantastical, you can't help but be drawn into their lives and feelings. Scott is the alpha of the pack, but does not come off as obnoxious or unlikeable. In fact, he is very likeable even while working through his frustrations and fears at finding himself mated to man. Through Ted we are allowed to see the other side of the attraction, his fears at being mated to a person who may never love him like he wants to be loved. The secondary characters add that extra little bit that brings the story together, from Scott's eccentric mother, to his best friend Mike, who likes to give Scott some friendly harassment every chance he gets. There are plenty of m/m situations throughout the book ranging from sweet and tender to downright hot. They are well written and fit in smoothly with the book and do not over power it. I hope this is the beginning of series, I would love to go back and revisit with other characters in the story and see how they are faring and read their stories. It is definitely a delightful book to read while passing time.
