| The second book of a wonderful series, Beast of Burden is sure to be a paranormal tale that readers will enjoy again and again.
Marlie Silver thought her world would end when she is told that her husband has died in a car accident. She slowly starts to put the pieces back together and move on with her life when out of nowhere two years later he shows up at her door alive and well. Now he is back with a very dangerous secret that will change her life forever, but the people he escaped from are not willing to let him go. Can Marlie find away to accept him for what he is and help eliminate the threat that stalks them both? Rogan Wolfe’s death was faked two years ago to cover up for a scientific experiment that has given him the ability to change shape. Now he has escaped and wants his old life back and that includes his wife Marlie. Problem is she has thought that he has been dead all this time and how will she react when she finds out that he is not the man she married. Even worse is the man that is after Rogan and determined to kill him at all costs. Can Rogan keep the woman he loves safe or will he lose her forever? Another awesome tale of shape-shifting adventure, this book is great! I loved the characters and the plot is so interesting I didn’t get bored once. Marlie has her world turned upside down when her supposed dead husband shows up at her door. Rogan is really the victim in all of this and is out to claim his life back. The scary part is when the man hunting Rogan shows up and then the real danger starts. I am enthralled with shape-shifters and this book is a great example of paranormal reading at it’s best. Love scenes are rushed and happen in a timely manner with the storyline. I can honestly say that I will be looking forward to the other books in this series and can’t wait to see what will come in the following volumes.
