| Nathan is a doctor with a real problem. After a one night stand with a woman named Nadine, he woke up with his throat ripped out and turned into a vampire. At first he thought he could beat it, and tried hard to have nothing to do with the vampire lifestyle. Eventually he found himself having a harder time holding back his inner beast, and he began to wonder if he can continue on the way he has. After he finally attacks a co-worker, he knows it's time to get help. He's been to a nightclub for Vampires before, but the Master Vampire that ran it made him nervous, and Nadine was there. He thought he could avoid it because he wanted nothing to do with that mess, but now he has no choice.
There is a complicated relationship between Guillermo, the master vampire Nathan has gone to for help. Nathan is a heterosexual man, but he is finding himself attracted to Guillermo and that is scaring him more than Nadine or what he's become. He's never felt this way about a man before, and isn't quite sure how to handle it. Guillermo starts to teach him about whom and what he has turned into, but there is no escaping the attraction he feels for the Master Vampire. As Nadine starts to push his buttons, he starts exploring a side of himself that he never thought he had and learning what it means to be a Vampire. There is m/m sex in this story, as well as the m/f side of it, but I never felt it was the only thing in the story. The relationship between Nathan and Guillermo is just beginning, and it looks like this will be a continuing series from Renee George that I will definitely be on the lookout for.
