An intruder had invaded his Puma Mountain and Ber was on the hunt to capture the unknown trespasser. As the Beast Master of the Puma clan it was Ber’s responsibility to protect the pumas, their land and his long-time companion ­ the massive, ancient puma known as the Beast. What Ber didn’t expect to find was a beautiful human female as the intruder and more importantly his instant attraction to her. Has the Beast Master finally found his mate? And, what of the relationship between the Beast Master and the Beast - will the threat of a third force one to commit murder?

I found Vonna Harper’s Beast Master to be an intriguing tale. This storyline contained a unique threesome relationship that started out on a very rocky ground between man, woman and beast. Just like anyone the Beast became insanely jealous when Ber took an interest in Luann and let me tell you there were a few tense moments where I wasn’t sure of the outcome. The plot flowed at a rapid pace and Ms. Harper did an excellent job of keeping things exciting and interesting until the very end. Luann and Ber’s relationship was complex and fascinating at the same time. Luann was a prefect mixture of toughness and vulnerable; while, Ber showcased protective determination and as a couple they sizzled between the sheets. All in all, the Beast Master proved to be a sensual, amusing read.
