Sometimes seeing what policemen go through nowadays, some feel it is great to be retired. Constable Phil Rodgers remembers his first day on the job was filled with excitement as he was greeted by new friendly faces. Upon his meeting with Anna Morrison, he explains that he is searching for a suspicious character wearing a raincoat. But when the lady school teacher insist upon borrowing his truncheon so she can learn how to educate herself, if she comes up against a pervert, they begin a wonderful training moment that makes his police work sensuously exciting. Phil allows his ambitions to get the better of him as he learns much with an older woman that excites him in more ways than one.

Beat Meet is a slow sensual story that carries the reader into a different side of a policeman’s life. Phil is laid-back, an easy-going man that knows how to please a woman. His chemistry filters through the pages. Anna is one charming older woman that puts some sizzle in the pages. Mr. Shaw creates a stirring read that is well-written and interesting. His style of writing has a way of pulling the reader into the picture. I have to admit this was a charming read.
