| Jared Beaudry is a tortured soul who was brutally murdered during a Civil War battle. He has spent the last 100 years haunting the land filled with hatred, guilt and revenge. If only he could avenge his death and seek revenge against the bastard who tortured and killed him so viciously, then he would find peace.
Taylor Brannon is a woman who's lost and alone after the death of her twin, Troy. In an effort to find some solace, she dons her brother’s Civil War clothing and gear and joins a re-enactment group in the very same spot where Jared was killed. Taylor is also a psychometric (where she can feel and sense paranormal) and feels Jared before she can even see him. Thrown together in what is called a time bubble, Jared and Taylor are forced to recreate those events that killed Jared. Will everyone survive? And what happens when a woman so afraid by her psychometric gift falls in love with a ghost? This book is one where you are literally drawn in and can't put the book down. I could totally relate to Taylor and Jared who pulled at my heart strings. I so wanted them to be able to find redemption and peace. The author weaves such a beautiful story of love, fear, revenge, and continual suspense which draws you in and you feel almost possessed by the characters. The dialogue flowed well and the plot was believable and almost hypnotic. I read this story into the middle of the night. I am fascinated by the paranormal and with this book it blends it perfectly with a wonderful love story. A true gem and I see why it won an award. I look forward to reading other books by the author.
