Alissa Spence does research for Cayce Industries and the project she is currently working on looks a little too much like the boss, Segrin Cayce, for comfort. Devoted to her work, she doesn't have time for the human sort of companion, so she makes due with a few mechanical devices. Not of her making, of course.

Segrin had his security chief do a little checking on the woman taking up so much of his company's money and time and found several purchases a woman like her shouldn't be in need of. In fact, he intends to make their use obsolete.

The attraction between the two is undeniable and heated. And when Alissa enters her lab to find a murder and a missing android, she gets more of "Cayce" than she bargained for.

A "quickie," this fast paced flick will grab your attention from the start. The relationship between Alissa and Segrin is a little rushed but believable. The twist at the end is dramatic and unexpected. This reviewer would have liked to have seen the story be a bit longer in order to explore certain aspects of the story and draw relationships out to make them a bit more credible, but overall it made for an enjoyable read.
