Maggie French and Deuce Whiley are about to compete in the biggest poker game of their lives. Though not just for the substantial prize money offered at the Beaver Creak competition. Both highly competitive, both loving the thrill of the big gamble, they are about to make the biggest gamble of all. In more ways than one.

In this game, the joker’s wild. Kelly and Carpenter have done it again. The realism of their characters kept me in stitches. Anybody who can make a woman fart and the scene still work has my vote. I laughed out loud so much that, once again, most of my required during-book-soda came out my nose and made my eyes water. I’ll even overlook the shameless plugs within the book for this dynamic duo’s other works, though the first time caught me so off guard I had to read the passage again to make sure I’d read it correctly. Only this pair could pull that off ! If you’ve never read any of their collaborations, I highly recommend that you do so and this is a really good place to start. The only time the humor stops is when the action heats up (which is quite frequently) and even some of that will make you laugh out loud. Score another one for the Dynamic Duo with Beaver Canyon: A Sweet Deal!
