When Mariana knocks on John’s door to take her sister’s place, she is apprehensive about her new life in America. As she lets him, he opens new doors to passions she never imagined, pushing her boundaries further and further. But will he ever care for her as much as he cared for her sister? In the beginning, I was unsure about this one. I wasn’t too keen on the attitude of John, but as the story progressed, I began to like John as the author showed a softer side of him. Mariana was a little too mousy for my tastes, but I learned to like her a little more as the story progressed as well. While I wasn’t keen on the main characters personalities, the sex scenes were HOT! All of them were definitely worth a re-read—and re-read I did!
