Sophia Rae knows how to write hot and sexy with a good story thrown in. She does a great job building each personality and their thoughts throughout so we understand their actions and reactions. Luke has been the town Lothario. Since his parents died he's avoided any kind of commitment except to his family. Gabrielle has been controlled by her parents all her life. Now she wants to be independent, to make her life something she can be proud of. At the first hint that he might not be the center of her life Luke goes crazy with jealousy. Gabrielle is gutsy enough to tell him where to go when he steps over the line with her.

This is a fun book to read. Not only is the storyline consistent with the others in the Delaney series the characters, the dialogue, sex and a little information on carpentry all fit well. Did I say before that the sex is hot? Oh, yes, I did but, still, it bears repeating! It's hot, erotic and worked into the story enough to make it just right. Luke needed to get some of his ego down from the clouds, Gabrielle needed a boost to hers. Ms. Rae did both just right.
