Jamie Day is a mutant who is after the shiniest rock of all. Unfortunately the rock is possessed by Hunter Mitchell, the richest man around, who just happens to be mechanically enhanced and possesses powers that amazes even mutants. Caught in the act, Mitchell, intrigued by the blue-haired minx with an astounding amount of cheek, gives her the chance to take whatever she wants from his collection of “rocks” if she stays with him for 72 hours.

This is a funny in a goofy kind of way romp in the trademark Davidson style. Jamie is impertinent in an adorable way, and Mitchell is bewildered in a sexy way. This story is hugely enjoyable, but way, way too short. Ms. Davidson drops some hints that there might be a sequel, which, we all hope, will hit the shelves soon enough so that we can have more of the most diverting Cinderella story to have been published in a long, long time.
