While attending Lord Willowbrook's spring ball, Emily Wright finds herself drawn into a murder investigation. As the only available seer, she's determined to prove that her skills aren't just good for the only outlet of her magic – matchmaking. Besides, it's not as if her matchmaking has any hope for her love life because the one man meant for her is the one she believes she can never have.

Robyn Bachar has written a very good story in this one with an exciting heroine out to prove herself by showing everyone that she's capable of doing anything she puts her mind to. The plot flowed very well, as to did the wonderful dialogue that was told from Emily's perspective. What I liked most about her was the various relationships she had with the secondary characters, especially Michael, her soul mate, and that she was willing to help the man she loved by revealing that Michael's mentor was not guilty of murder.

Overall, this was a great short story and one I'd definitely recommend as it illustrated how rules are made to be broken. Why shouldn't Emily have been able to match-make for herself just because the man she was destined to be with was off limits? A woman has the right to be with the one she loves.
