| When Jon's ex-lover Craig asks him to be the best man at his wedding, to a woman, he decides that it's time to move on and decides to go out for a night on the town. On Jon's night out he meets bartender Liam, and what was supposed to be a one-night stand turns into so much more. As the two men tentatively start a relationship, they have to deal with Jon's ex Craig having second thoughts and something more sinister working against them. Can the two men overcome these obstacles and build a future together? Or will the past get in the way?
This was a really steamy romantic story with a bit of suspense thrown in. The plot moves at a good pace but occasionally gets bogged down in sex, but oh what sex it is! What starts out as two men having rebound sex turns in a hot, sexy and loving relationship between Jon and Liam. Both men are coming off of unhealthy relationships so decide to take things slowly. It's nice to watch the characters grow and change through the start of their relationship, but also how they support and tease each other. The rapport between the Jon and Liam is well written and through the seriousness of what is happening around them also adds a certain levity to the story. Reader be warned there is a lot of steamy m/m sex in this book which can be overwhelming if you are not used to it, but it is fits right into the story and is not awkward for the characters. I especially liked how Jon and Liam just like kissing each other and could get so much out of a kiss almost made me envious. This is one of those great beach or poolside reads for this long hot summer.
