Best friends for over 10 years, Jeri Winston and Alexander Frost (Xander, to Jeri), were in a bar and Jeri spotted a dynamite man in whom she was very interested. To say that Xander was unimpressed, even disappointed, was obvious to anyone except Jeri. Xander and Jeri spent all their spare time together anytime neither was seeing anyone romantically. Xander finally recognized this “god-looking” male who was surrounded by women. His name was Connor Addison, doctor of pediatrics, who had recently moved back to the area from Seattle.

Jeri was stunned to find out who he was. In her senior year of high school, she had a serious crush on him and followed him around all the time. Connor never even noticed her, even though other classmates made fun of her. She wanted him to ask her to the prom but he did not. Alexander, the nerd in high school, took her; but she spent the entire evening leading him, around keeping Connor and his date in her sight. Jeri had lived with hatred for Connor because of the way he had treated her. Now she wanted payback…actually she just wanted him!

Xander had realized he had real romantic interest in Jeri, but she seemed to be completely unaware of it. She had manipulated Xander to offer for Conner to move into his condo; she continued to drop in constantly, but she ignored Xander and actively pursued Connor.

By their third date, even though she was unsure she wanted to “sleep” with him; she was feeling no sparks. Her roommate, Emma Green, told her she was making a mistake. She insisted that Xander was attracted to her and her to him. Jeri did not believe Emma. Connor, while on their third date, made the same observation and challenged Jeri to talk to Xander before their relationship went any further.

The rest of the story is incredible, but you will have to read it to find out what happened. Ms. Ellen Fisher made me want to have more! You will love this story!
