| Jillian Bass arrived in Legend, Tennessee without letting anyone know who she really was—not Jillian, but who her parents and grandmother were. That made her famous. She was determined to make her business a success without their names dropping. She had broken all ties, including her engagement, when she moved from New York City to Legend. No one knew her father was a publishing guru, or that her late grandmother was Jeaneva of Jeaneva Chocolates.
Scott Matthews, brother to Brad, husband of Suzie (the matchmaking chef) was determined to take a two week vacation from his home/business in Scotland. He didn’t plan to eat chocolate or be drawn into women—until he found that Jillian was a fraud. He had been a chocolate expert for years. He didn’t see any reason to inform his family about the scandal he ran away from. Ms. Maddie James has written about a favourite subject of many—chocolate AND love connections. I do so much enjoy her characters. This book is one I’ve read before; however, it has been revamped. The plot was spell-binding to me. I couldn’t wait to turn the pages. I was drawn in from the first page. Her characters captivated me and kept me emotionally charged throughout the book. I thought this storyline was realistic and mesmerized me. She is one of my favourite authors and anytime I see her name, I grab the latest book. I guarantee that you will love this book, this series, and will become a fan of her just by reading this one book.
