| Daniel and Ian are best friends since their college days. Despite Ian's work (he is a modern treasure hunter) keeping him away, they are in constant contact. After several months of absence, Ian comes to visit Daniel. While there, he has an epiphany and discovers that he is in love with Daniel. Now all he has to do is convince Daniel to give him a chance. Give them a chance.
Between You and Me is a enjoyable story of friends who become lovers. The whole story happens in a very short space of time (less than one day). Then it is expected that the pace is fast but that's not what happens. Daniel and Ian only have their first kiss at almost half the book. Although in the end I like the book, I also found it kind of hard to read. Up to the halfway mark, Ian and Daniel barely interact with each other (by interaction I mean there is almost no have dialogue between them). In my opinion, there is too much internal dialogue that makes the beginning a bit tedious. But through this phase, the story gets more interesting. Overall, Between You and Me is a sweet lovers-to-friends romance, with two main characters who, despite being opposites, blend perfectly. Ian is a treasure hunter, adventurer while Daniel is a peaceable librarian.
