| Roux always got stuck with bringing Grandma her goodie basket. Everyone else was afraid of her and all Roux wanted to do was drop off the basket and get out of there before she planted a slug on her. But when she gets there she finds a horrible crime scene and a sexy naked wolf in Grandma's bed that has says she is his mate. At first she is attracted to him until he transformed into his wolf image which scares her. As if she doesn't have enough problems with a father that will not talk to her or even look at her. Plus she has to sleep in the closet, not even a real room.
Aldrich is a typical overbearing male but when he touches her she melts. There is no way he is a cold blooded killer. So if he didn't kill Grandma, who did? She's convinced he didn't do it so it's up to her to find who did it, while avoiding whoever wants to kill her too. There are secrets in the town of Harmony that she may not want to know but she has to come to an understanding with the past. This was a little strange starting out but the more you read, the more interesting it got. I really like the determination of Aldrich to protect Roux. He really is sweet but scary at the same time. It really took some interesting turns, as the story went along. I disliked the father from the beginning, so was not surprised to find his part in the story. To think her father knew Grandma from his past and he tried to get her secrets. In the end, I liked this book and recommend it to other readers. I know I enjoyed it.
