Dex Messina lives with his brother Derek. They are getting ready for the opening of Messina ’s Diamonds and don’t need anything to put a dent into their grand opening. Then Dex arrives home to find a baby, with a note attached, that her name is Isabella and she belongs to D, but it doesn’t say which brother. Dex immediately phones Derek to get home. No sooner than Derek sees the baby and note, he and Dex begin passing the butt to which is the father. Derek can’t afford going to the authorities to have anything ruin their new business. They agree to a paternity test before reporting the baby to the system. Lucy Alwin must convince Dex that Isabella belongs to her. She has heard with all their wealth and privilege, they can be quite ruthless. As Lucy tries to explain why Isabella was abandoned, she wonders if she will ever get Dex to trust her enough to give Isabella a home. It won’t be easy, especially when she isn’t really considered the same class of people as the Messina ’s.

With a nice unexpected twist, I found Baby on the Billionaire’s Doorstep so fascinating I couldn’t put it down. I was engrossed with each page, along with the characters, that before I knew it, it was over. I hated for it to end. I wanted the story to continue and am glad to hear that Derek will have his story next. Emily McKay works charm and magic inside her stories. She blends so much action, romance and robust players that the audience is spellbound. I love the layer of emotions and dialogue that she sketches in the wonderful characters in this book. If you want an excellent read that leaves a lasting impression, and makes the heart leap with joy, this one comes highly recommended.
