| Phaedra has just been given the worst news of her life by her father, the King of the Fey, and her aunt. They’ve decided to curb her outrageous spending habits and have decided it’s time she leaves the comforts of the castle and get a job to earn her own money. With no work experience or skills other than swiping a credit card, she’s not left with many options. She heads to the vampire district where she thinks she’ll have the most luck. She finds a job and a whole lot more at the Black Pearl.
When Vance sees Phaedra, he’s immediately attracted to her, but knows she’s out of her element in the club. Or is she? As he watches her reactions to what she sees, he quickly realizes he has the opportunity of a lifetime on his hands. Besides, with her being the future Queen of the Fey, he knows there’s no risk of commitment. I loved this one. Watching a character grow and act out their deepest fantasies is always a wonderful experience. Vance’s character was a great combination of rough and sweet, which is what almost every woman wants. This was a pleasure to read all the way around. I don’t think I can say enough good things about Alecia’s superb writing and this great tale.
