| Rhiannan MacNamara is nearing the end of her career in ballet after several injuries. Her grandmother has filled her head with Irish lore since she was born. It seems fitting that one of her last performances would be in the place of her ancestors. Seamus O'Failan is trapped in the Blarney stone waiting for his true love to set him free. Fergus O'Roarke is willing to do anything to make sure Seamus and his love are never reunited. Rhiannan thinks it's the surroundings that are making her have such vivid dreams of romance but is determined to kiss the Blarney stone. She never expected it to kiss her back!
Chevon Gael writes a beautiful love story. It's filled with fun, suspense and a great tale that will entrance even those who are only Irish on St. Patrick's Day. The dialogue between Rhiannan and her understudy in the ballet, Kathleen Callaghan, is hilarious at times. They have some conversations about their experiences with men and dieting that will have you smiling or smirking in enjoyment or even not so fond memories of your experiences. Fergus is an evil leprechaun who helped seal the fate of Seamus out of jealousy. He bemoans his lot in life to have a son like Paddy but the two seem fairly well matched in intellect. Some of their discussions and arguments are like slapstick comedy. You can almost see the light bulb going off over Paddy's head like in a cartoon as the writer's description shows us he understands something. Mixed with the fresh and fun aspect is a love story that brings tears to my eyes as the author weaves her magic throughout. This is a sweet tale for St. Patty's Day or any time.
