Jeanette LaFleur thought she was lucky getting a job as Clinical Coordinator for Dr. Byron Rutherford. Jeanette starts to wonder about some of the things she discovered. The files didn't make any sense. Jeanette soon realizes that something evil and deadly was going on in the clinic, but she's not prepared for what she finds out.

Scott Fontenot has been in love with Jeanette from the beginning. When she's almost killed because she suspects her boss is working in stolen body parts as well as possible other crimes, Scott calls in some old army buddies to come play guard dog and help him protect the woman he loves. Scott goes to the jungles of Brazil to gain evidence to put Rutherford away.

Dr. Bryon Rutherford is a man of wealth and power, gained through less than ethical means. But there was more he craved. Rutherford wanted fame and recognition. To be remembered for greatness in his field. He just didn't care how he got it or who had to die so he could have it. Jeanette was a problem. One he fully intends to eliminate.

Dr. Manuel Lopez is Rutherford's secret partner and runs the One World medical relief organization. Lopez is heavy into drugs and stolen body parts. There's just one thing. He doesn't wait for them to die to get what he needs. Lopez wanted Jeanette dead, before she brought the house down around them all.

Monette Michaels and Janet Ferran write an outstanding thriller that takes the readers into a world few know about, and those that do don't talk about it. From the first page you'll find yourself steeped in deception and murder, as well as malpractice. Jeanette stumbles across an illegal body-snatching ring that will take you deep in the jungles of Brazil and land you right smack in the middle of what's know as the body mafia and the harvesting of body organs. Ms. Michaels and Ms. Ferran's story will make you think twice about becoming a donor. This story is a factious representation of an actual event. Blind-Sided is the kind of story one would expect to see in the movies and I wouldn't be surprised if that happens. I couldn't put this book down and I'll remember it for some time to come. If murder, mayhem and the fight for life are what you crave in a story, then be sure to get Blind-Sided, you'll be glad you did. Enjoy!
