This story is unlike the others I have read by Ms. Sookoo. It was heavier on science fiction than fantasy, but it's still good. Charlotte is a character who, while being intelligent and likeable, tends to function more with her emotions. Garreth is an alien from a planet that is very logical and rigid in its views and beliefs. He is floored by his instant attraction to Charlotte and Jax just doesn't trust him. Jax has wanted Charlotte and is thrown into a jealous haze when he sees the mutual attraction between the two. I wasn't sure I'd like the story since Garreth is kind of a cold character and Charlotte is very unsure about herself.

Yes, aliens attack the ship. Yes, the three of them grow and learn from each other. Yes, it has a happy ending. When I saw the cover and read the blurb, I thought it was going to be a hot ménage story. I'm happy it wasn't because that wouldn't have kept to the story that Ms. Sookoo created. I was very pleased with the way all three of them grew and learned, and there were some very hot moments between them.
